Biographical Sketch
I was born on January 10, 1985 in Venice, Italy. I got a BSc and a MSc (both summa cum laude) in Computer Science at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, respectively in 2008 and 2010. From September 2010 I'm a PhD student at Ca' Foscari University of Venice under the supervision of Dr. Andrea Torsello and I expect to complete my PhD in Computer Science in Winter 2013. From March 2012 to September 2012 I've been visiting the Computer Science Department of York University (UK), under the supervision of Prof. Edwin R. Hancock. During this period, I've been investigating novel ways to apply quantum models, and particularly quantum walks, to a wide range of problems, such as Graph Matching, Structural Symmetries Detection and Network Analysis. From June 2013 I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Computer Science of the University of Birmingham with EPSRC-funded project "The Uncertainty of Identity". My current research interests are in the areas of Network Science, Large-Scale Data Mining, Machine Learning and Graph-Based Pattern Recognition.Back to Top
