1990
The School of Computer Science is established within the Faculty of Science.
The Centre for Computing and Computer Science was split into two parts, the Academic Division becoming the School of Computer Science. This marked the beginning of a period of unprecedented growth in both research and teaching activities in the School and rapid expansion in the numbers of students and staff.
1992
The BEng/MEng course in Electronic and Software Engineering is established and has its first intake of students. This course is designed to replace the BSc in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, which is phased out.
1993
The BSc course in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science is established and has its first intake of students. The BSc in Psychology and Artificial Intelligence is established at the same time.
1994
The BSc in Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence is established.
