MSc Scholarships in Computer Science
Both the University and the School of Computer Science offers scholarships and bursaries annually for both Home/EU and International students wishing to study for a Masters degree in a Computer Science subject. Scholarships are awarded to students who have achieved, or expect to achieve, excellent academic results.

Home/EU/International Status Students
Scholarships available for MSc in Robotics
Scholarships of £5000 are now available for successful applicants (Home/EU/ international fee status) to the MSc Robotics programme at the University of Birmingham.
How to apply for a scholarship:
You must complete an online application for the MSc Robotics programme by May 7th 2013.
In addition by that date you should send your CV and a 300-500 word personal statement on your interest in robotics to Professor Jeremy L Wyatt, jlw@cs.bham.ac.uk and Dr Michael Mistry m.n.mistry@cs.bham.ac.uk.
Scholarship decisions will follow an interview and will be decided on May 18th 2013.
Fully funded MRes Scholarship
"Simultaneous Engineering in Aerodynamic Design" in the MRes in Natural Computation for 2013/14
We have two studentships/scholarships of £18,950 in total available (£14,000 tax-free living allowance and £4,950 for tuition fees in 2013/14). These studentships have been generously funded by Honda Euro Research and are available primarily to all European Union/United Kingdom applicants. (However, exceptional candidates outside UK/EU may be considered.)
How to apply for a scholarship:
You must complete an online application for the MRes Natural Computation, all applicants will automatically be considered for the scholarship when applying for the programme.
Deadline:
The review of applications will start on 1 June 2013, until both positions are filled.
Home/EU Students only
Paul and Yuanbi Ramsay MSc Bursary
There are two MSc bursaries of £4,950. Applicants must be from the UK or European Union and must be from a low income background or in receipt of benefits. Applications should be made through the Student Funding Office. The recipient is requested to write a note of thanks to Dr and Mrs Ramsay at the end of the first term of the academic session. Other interaction with Dr and Mrs Ramsay throughout the year is welcome.

International Students only
International Student Master's Scholarships
A £3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a number of privately funded, full fee paying, international Master's students.
This scholarship is awarded to applicants who have achieved or expect to achieve excellent academic results in their previous degree, for instance are ranked within the top 5% of their year.
Applicants must have accepted an offer for one of the School's MSc programmes. These scholarships are open to students from outside the European Union. Applicants are nominated by the Admissions Tutors: please indicate that you wish to be considered when completing your application to study an MSc.
