Undergraduate Study

The School of Computer Science offers scholarships and bursaries for students wishing to study for an undergraduate degree in a Computer Science subject. Scholarships are awarded to students who have, or expect to achieve, excellent academic results and are available to students in the following programmes:

  • BSc Computer Science
  • BEng/MEng Computer Science and Software Engineering
  • BSc Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science
  • BSc Computer Science with Business Management
  • MSci Computer Science

Home/EU Students Only:

For students beginning their studies in Autumn 2014, we offer a number of the following Scholarship:

£3000 for the first year of study. Scholarships will be offered to students on the basis of their predicted grades and performance in the interview/aptitude test taken when attending our Applicant Visit Day. Alternative arrangements may be made for students not resident in the UK. (These applicants will be contacted directly regarding these arrangements.) The award of the scholarship will be conditional upon students making Birmingham their Firm choice, and achieving the required grades and conditions of their offer.

A number of scholarships have already been awarded. There will be a further decision round at the end of August to distribute any remaining scholarships. If you are selected at that point, we will inform you at that time via email/post.
