Computing at Schools Conference 2018

Published: Sat 9th February 2019

The School of Computer Science once again played host to the 10th Computing at Schools annual Conference in June 2018. Following on from previous successful conferences, we welcomed over 250 teachers (from both primary and secondary level) who were looking to update both their subject knowledge and approach to teaching computing in their schools.

The conference was full of keynote talks, workshops and networking opportunities, and brought the CAS community together once again.

See photos of the 2018 conference here!

Plans are currently underway for 2019!

Offer Holder Days and Degree Apprenticeship Assessment Days

Published: Sat 10th February 2018

Our Assessment Days for 2019 entry for our BSc Computer Science with Digital Technology Partnership with PwC recently concluded, where we invited applicants onto campus for a full day to undertake assessment activity with PwC, and get to know the department.

Vodafone recently held their assessment day for our BSc Computer Science with Digital Technology Partnership down at their HQ in Newbury, and spoke to and assessed many candidates keen to be considered for the programme.

We are currently in the middle of operating our suite of informative Offer Holder Visit Days, where offer holders are invited to Birmingham to spend the day with us, and get to know our staff, students and department. Invitations will follow shortly after an offer is made via UCAS - get in touch if you haven't received one.
