A personal statement about myself

Things people have said; ever so slightly odd, easy to get on with, likes a drink, ginger beard, rides that oversize BMX, legs covered in scars, likes another drink.

I like to think of myself as happy go lucky, not easily stressed, and helpful. My interest is urban sports. I started with skateboards, lost all the skin off one elbow, gave up skateboarding. It then went; BMX, racer, mountain bike, good mountain bike, mountain bike stolen, new one, BMX, and a mini-bike. My sense of humour, and anarchic tendencies, have so far almost got me; beaten up by a BNFL security guard, kicked out of school, sacked, coloured in with a permanent marker, and arrested. I’ve appeared in Sea Angler magazine twice, I’m from Cumbria (north-west of Sheffield, so very north), I’m engaged, and I live in Bournville.

	Name: Norshuhani Zamin First Degree: BSc. (Hons) (Information Technology) from MARA University of Technology, Malaysia. Fields of Interest Natural Language Processing, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Personal Statement: Upon graduation with BSc. (Hons) (Information Technology) from Computer Science Department of MARA University of Technology in Malaysia, I started my career as software engineer in MRCB, which is an established local software company. During a year with MRCB, I have developed skills in the areas of software applications, databases and systems. In the mean time, I have been thinking of becoming an educator in my fields of interest and hope to apply the experiences I gained from MRCB. To reach my goal of becoming an excellent lecturer, I quit from the software company and joined a local private university that currently funds me to build my skills through an advanced education. I am now enjoying my studies in the University of Birmingham, UK. The courses I learn include Natural Language Processing and Applications and Intelligent Robotics. I am extremely interested in these two courses and have absolute confidence in them. In my spare time, I enjoy a wide range of activities. I spend lots of time on reading. Computer and scientific magazines are my favorites. I am also keen on traveling and surfing on the Internet, which greatly benefits my study.
