Telematics

The Centre of Excellence in Advanced Telematics is part of the School of Computer Science at The University of Birmingham.

Our activities are focused in two areas:

I.T Assistance for SMEs
We offer a subsidised I.T development and consultancy service to small-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the West Midlands Objective 2 Area. Our work with SMEs typically involves the application of Internet Techologies, Databases and Computer Networks.
Technology Transfer
As part of the School of Computer Science, the Telematics Centre serves as an interface for businesses who wish to work with research staff at the School. Opportunities available include consultancy or joint research projects in leading areas of computer science research. These activities are supported by a seminar and workshop programme.
