The skill acquisition element of the CoSy scenario will be fairly minimal. It will be investigated in terms of the PlayMate's manipulation competence, but beyond this it currently appears that most other competences will be programmed in (although many will support learning/development).
One issues is how to divide things between this competence, and the learning aspect of internal processing of non-spatial entities. For example, learning to 'see' relationships in the world that are abstractions from a collection of previously known relationships could be considered as skill acquisition, or as internal processing, or even as part of the input competence.
