The University of Birmingham: a tradition for fresh thinking

For over a hundred years, learning and research at the University has played a major part in the success of the city, the region and the world - and has contributed to the advance of knowledge and its application. We are determined to continue to be at the forefront of world research well into the 21st century.

19-01-2007 - John Hemming, MP, will address the issues surrounding the UK constitution and the much-debated privileges of Parliament. 
18-01-2007 - The Lithuanian ambassador to the UK, Vygaudas Uaackas, will visit the University on Monday 22 January.
17-01-2007 - The University of Birmingham has joined forces with the Chamber of Commerce to provide business people with tailor-made language programmes.
16-01-2007 - The new 'Future Engines and Fuels Laboratory' at the University of Birmingham's Department of Mechanical Engineering will be opened on Thursday 18 January at 5.15pm by Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Transfer, Professor Mike Cruise.
