XWindowAttributes [typedef] This data structure holds a windows attributes. typedef struct { int x, y; int width, height; int border_width; int depth; Visual *visual; Window root; int class; int bit_gravity; int win_gravity; int backing_store; unsigned long backing_planes; unsigned long backing_pixel; Bool save_under; Colormap colormap; Bool map_installed; int map_state; long all_event_masks; long your_event_mask; long do_not_propagate_mask; Bool override_redirect; Screen *screen; } XWindowAttributes; x and y specify the location of the window; width and height specify the dimensions of the window; border_width specifies the border width of the window; depth specifies the plane depth of the window; visual is a pointer to the associated visual structure (see REF * Visual); root is the root of the screen containing the window; class is one of InputOutput or InputOnly; bit_gravity is a bit gravity value; win_gravity is a window gravity value; backing_store is one of NotUseful, WhenMapped or Always; backing_planes specifies the planes to be preserved if possible; backing_pixel specifies the value to be used when restoring planes; save_under is a boolean indicating whether bits under should be saved; colormap is the color map to be associated with the window; map_installed is a boolean indicating whether the color map is currently installed; map_state is one of IsUnmapped, IsUnviewable or IsViewable; all_event_masks is a set of events that all people have an interest in; your_event_mask is you local event mask; do_not_propagate_mask is a set of events that should not propagate; override_redirect is a boolean value for override-redirect; screen is a back pointer to the correct screen.
