This REF file details the procedures that are suplied by the two library
packages LIB * XT_WIDGET  and  LIB * FAST_XT_WIDGET  which  provide  the
Pop-11 interface to the X Toolkit Intrinsics related to widget  creation
and management.

1  Introduction
---------------

The  libraries  LIB * FAST_XT_WIDGET  and  LIB * XT_WIDGET  provide  the
Pop-11 interface to the X Toolkit Intrinsics related to widget  creation
and management.  The  library  allows  the  following  functions  to  be
performed from Pop-11:

   #  The creation and management of widgets and application shells
   #  Realising a widget instance
   #  The destruction of a widget instance
   #  The destruction of the widows associated with a widget
   #  The mapping and unmapping of widgets

The  exact  structure  of  arguments  and  results  for  the   following
procedures is as discussed in REF * XTOOLKIT.

        Create an application  shell instance  (varargs and  non-varargs
        versions).


XtRealizeWidget(widget)                                      [procedure]
        Realize a widget instance.


XtUnrealizeWidget(widget)                                    [procedure]
        Destroy the windows associated with a widget and its children.


XtDestroyWidget(widget)                                      [procedure]
        Destroy a widget instance.


XtCreateManagedWidget(name, widgetclass, parent_widget,      [procedure]
                      arglist, cardinal) -> widget
XtVaCreateManagedWidget(name, widgetclass, parent_widget,    [procedure]
                        argvarargs) -> widget
        Create and  manage  a  child  widget  (varargs  and  non-varargs
