Birmingham School of Computer Science is Number One in UK

The School of Computer Science is delighted to announce that The Guardian University Guide 2014 has ranked University of Birmingham first place out of 128 in the UK league table for Computer Sciences and IT.

The School of Computer Science at University of Birmingham has consistently been ranked in the Top 10 for UK league tables. This year however, they pushed the boundaries of excellence even further to claim the number one spot, beating the likes of Cambridge, Warwick, UCL, York, Bristol and Glasgow. The excellent ratings for course quality, teaching and student feedback is a testament to how enthusiastic the School of Computer Science is about its subject and research. These league table results reflect the ongoing hard work within the department from all the students and staff. Securing the number one title for Computer Science in the UK is an achievement to be shared by the entire Computer Science family here at Birmingham.
