About Me

I am a Part-Time PhD student under the supervision of Dr Mark Lee and sponsored by the MoD CT S&T C. My broad area of research is in Natural Language Processing, and in particular corpus linguistics and lexical semantics. See my research page for more details.

I graduated from this School in 2004 with a BSc Honours degree in Artificial Intelligence & Computer Science. In September 2004 I started reading for a PhD but was forced to abandon this research in January 2006 due to a distinct lack of research funding.

After a brief sabbatical, during which time I have worked with homeless young people, I have returned to my research. These pages will be updated with any future reports or publications that I author, as I propel myself towards that elusive Doctorate.
