I am a 3rd year PhD research student at the University of Birmingham School of Computer Science. My research interests are concerned with computer security, specifically access control systems. Motivation is provided by eighteen years of working with small and medium sized enterprises as an accountant, auditor and computer systems manager at a firm of Chartered Accountants in the South-East of England. Also, as my wife is an A&E consultant I have a particular interest in security issues pertaining to the NHS computer system.

I am a member of the Computer Security Reading Group and my supervisor is Dr. Eike Ritter.
