Welcome to My Homepage !

In UOB (University of Birmingham), I am doing my PhD research under the supervision of Dr. Mark Lee and Dr. Behzad  Bordbar. The area of my PhD is Automated Software Modeling using  Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Model Transformation. My PhD research topic focuses on robust processing and transformation of  natural Languages to software  engineering languages  i.e. OCL. In my research, I am investigating the use of natural languages as an interface to automate the process  of writing OCL constraints for UML Models. The presented approach is based on Model Transformation technology to translate English text to the OCL constraints via SBVR (Semantics of Business Vocabulary and Rules). SBVR is used as an intermediate representation of English text to overcome inherent syntactic and semantic complexities of English language.

I am Assistant Professor in Computer Science in The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Before coming to Birmingham, UK, I also stayed in University of Coimbra, Portugal, where I was working as a research associate. My other research interests are text mining, business process modelling and image processing.
