  • 2 December, 1996: Chris Complin, Darwinian algorithms Abstracting the Darwinian process from biology, a brief discussion of emergent properties, the nature of better rather than best, and some of the interesting properties of the Darwinian algorithm. Finally, how this work fits in with the group work: that is, how it applies to the mind.

  • 9 December, 1996: Genetic Programming: The Movie - A videotape providing a general introduction to genetic programming and a visualization of actual computer runs for many of the problems discussed in John R. Koza and James P. Rice's book Genetic Programming: On the Programming of Computers by Means of Natural Selection
