Call for Papers

UKCI-02 invites contributions of papers (of up to eight pages) in all areas of Computational Intelligence (e.g. neural, evolutionary, fuzzy). Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:
  • Theoretical foundations (e.g. mathematical and statistical models; learning strategies and systems; reasoning and meta-control; transparency and interpretability; smart and adaptive mechanisms; logical and philosophical issues)

  • Problem-solving methods (e.g. monitoring and control; estimation and identification; prediction and simulation; clustering and classification; interpretation and recognition; optimisation and planning; data mining and knowledge discovery)

  • Application systems (e.g. industrial automation; adaptive control; autonomous robotics; time series analysis; signal processing; image understanding; information retrieval; Web intelligence; e-commerce; biomedical informatics; multimedia and telecommunications)

  • Hybrid systems (e.g. symbolic and non-symbolic; fuzzy and neural; evolutionary and neural; fuzzy and probabilistic; hierarchical and purpose-built)

  • Survey and methodological issues (e.g. classifying and relating CI approaches; evaluating CI approaches; criteria for selecting CI methods)
