Two research positions are available. You can be considered for both
positions by
just making a single application (you don't have to submit
two applications). Please indicate in a covering letter
whether you want to be considered for one or both
positions. The deadline for applications is 30
April 2011. To apply for the posts, please follow the instructions that you
find by following the links below. You are also welcome to
send your application to me, but that is just for my
information and does not constitute making a formal
application. Your application should include the following
items: a covering letter; your CV; two of your research
papers. You are welcome to send me informal enquiries.
- Research fellow (trust domains)
The project aims to develop and analyse the security of electronic services offered in a distributed fashion from multiple organisations, which form a "trust domain". Such architectures and the services they deliver will draw upon recent developments in trusted computing and virtualisation support. The project aims at clarifying their nature of trust domains, and modelling their interdependencies.
- Research fellow (analysing security and privacy properties)
The project aims to develop methods and techniques for developing, deploying and analysing security protocols and security APIs, including those involved in electronic voting and trusted computing. This includes high-level designs and analysis in the formal methods model. In particular, one aspect of the project concerns ways to balance user privacy and system security when they are in conflict.
