• SG5 Testing
  Testing techniques may be an efficient way to identify and study the critical modifications of behaviour induced by features. SG5 will investigate how far some classical testing techniques can be adapted to FO. For example:
  • to investigate the effects of a feature on a previously existing system, it could be fruitful to apply (a variant of) non regression testing;
  • to efficiently get a first idea about the compatibility between two features, it could be fruitful to identify which class of tests of one feature can be applied to the other one, and to check whether they provide compatible results;
  • to investigate the ambiguities possibly raised by the interaction of two (or more) features, it could be fruitful to exploit some well chosen test covering criteria;
  • moreover, so called "white-box" and "black-box" test scenario generations may be used in each case, depending if one want to foresee possibly incompatible features at the specification stage, or to verify a posteriori the adequacy of some existing features.
