Me
I'm a teaching assistant at the School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham. I have dedicated my life to science (75% of the time) and and teaching (the remaining 25%). In exchange for my ceaseless toil the University pays me a small stipend, enough for bread and gruel, and after four (or perhaps five) years will confer unto me the pinnacle of academic achievement, the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
Research
My research focuses on reinforcement learning, and in particular how to learn expressive models of behaviour, an area known as policy search. My supervisor is Jeremy Wyatt. It is possible I say more about my research on my research page.
Teaching
Any teaching material will be found on my teaching page.
Machine Learning Reading Group
I organise the machine learning reading group
Software
I've developed bits of software and other goodies. Eventually I will link to them from here.
Other
All work and no paid consulting makes Noel a hungry boy (see above). I do consulting work via Untyped.
