- Apologies for missing the lecture on Friday. I wanted to clarify what had
to be handed in for the next assessment - design and prototype. For the design
part, you need to expalin what design decisions have been taken and why. If
you have created any icons etc. these should be icluded in your submission.
For the prototype, this is a mocked-up version of your design - it can be done
on the web, on paper, or any other suitable medium. It is NOT to be a fully
working, programmed system - it is a prototype to test and illustrate your
ideas. If it's done on the web you can hand in the URL and a few example
printouts of what's there - we will look at it online. You should make sure
the design decisions that are incorporated in your prototype are clearly
explained. I am at least as interested in why you have done what you've done
as I am in the actual thing itself.
If you have taken an integrated approach, so that your design decisions are
explained in the context of your prototype, that is fine - as long as the
reasons are accessible and explicit, there's no problem.
Suggestion: make this page your startup page, so that you always receive the latest information. At the very least, make it a bookmark.
