As 3rd Year MEng students, you take the same course as the rest, but for you it is worth 20 credits, not 10.

This is because you have not been given the same background in Java as the other students, and so the expectation is that you have more background work to do in order to reach the same level.

This means that the expectations on you are to reach the same standards as the rest of the students, and face the same assessment process and criteria, but you receive 20 credits, not 10, to reflect the additional effort you will have to put in.

There will be no additional assessment set.
