I am a research fellow working within the SEBASE project at the Centre of Excellence for Research in Computational Intelligence and Applications (CERCIA). Previously, I was with the Intelligent Systems Group, at the University of the Basque Country, Spain, where I finished a PhD supervised by Prof. Jose A. Lozano.

My research interests involve Estimation of Distribution Algorithms, search based optimisation techniques in general, applications of these techniques, and probabilistic graphical models.
