Grasshopper: Green Software
Engineering Interest Group
Birmingham Green
Software Engineering Grasshoppers are interested in making software engineering research green. We are
particularly interested in green-aware ultra-large scale software architectures
(e.g Cloud) and their automated energy management. Our investigations cover
green cloud architectures, green architectural styles, green-aware
middleware, and relating green-aware requirements to software
architectures. Our Green Software Engineering Grasshoppers are also
interested in requirements
analysis for complex global change problems, architectural patterns and
styles for successful emissions reduction strategies, and tools for
monitoring, controlling, simulating, and visualising green properties and
the application of Search-Based Software Engineering to green computing.
Green Software Engineering Grasshopper Ongoing Projects:
Green Cloud: A Framework for Self-Optimisation of Quality of
Service (QoS) and Power in Cloud Architectures. Bridging the Gap Fellowship
