Present: Regularly on Friday mornings during the summer (June to September)
when supervising project students.
From September to June,if I come into the School it will be on Friday or Monday
mornings, but I do not come in regularly.
Post may be left for me in the School, but email is quicker.
I was lecturer in Computer Science from 1969 to 2000.
During that time, I taught courses in Programming, Numerical Analysis,
Computer Graphics and Taxonomy. I was resposible for the M.Sc conversion
course in Computer Science for many years. I retired in September 2000 and the
School gave me a farewell dinner at the
end of November 2000. At that time I also set up the Laflin Prize for the
student on the M.Sc conversion course who had made best progress during the year.
STUDENT PROJECTS.
In Summer 2009, I expect to supervise several M.Sc projects. For details of these project
topics please click here.
TAUGHT COURSES.
Parts of the courses I taught are still relevant and so I have left copies of the
materials for these courses on my web site. In particular, students on the M.Sc conversion
course in Computer Science should check and see which sections apply to their courses. For
details please click here.
