About me
Hello, welcome to my page. I am currently a doctoral researcher studying for a PhD in the School of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham.
Prior to my PhD study, I obtained bachelor from the Birmingham City University (first class) and master under MSc in Internet Software Systems (with distinction)
from the school.
I am interested in various topics in cloud computing, including: QoS modeling and prediction, self-adaptive architecture, resources autoscaling. My current focus is how
to adaptively optimize the QoSs for cloud-based applications by autoscaling the software tactics (e.g., number of thread/DB connection, consistency level, security and load balancing policies etc)
and hardware resources (e.g., CPU, memory and bandwidth etc), while minimizing the costs of their usage.
I am working with Dr. Rami Bahsoon.
