  abstract =     "This paper proposes a new architecture for tree-based
                 genetic programming, which evolves the schemata
                 directly. Rather than gathering individuals to form the
                 population, the architecture extracts individuals from
                 an instruction matrix, which keeps the schemata
                 information. It also uses fixed length hs-expressions
                 to represent trees in any shape. In order to manipulate
                 the instruction matrix and the hs-expression, new
                 genetic operators are exploited as well as the new
                 fitness evaluation function. The experimental results
                 verify that it produces results much better than those
                 of the canonical genetic programming in the problems
                 tested in this paper.",
