Outline
This module introduces the core concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The principal focus of the module will be on the underlying principles such as knowledge representation, search, decision theory, probability, and statistical learning.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module, the student should be able to:
- Explain and discuss a range of problems and techniques in artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Compare artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, describing their strengths and limitations
- Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to solve problems
