I was lecturer in Computer Science from 1969 to 2000. During that time, I taught courses in Programming, Numerical Analysis, Computer Graphics and Taxonomy. I was resposible for the M.Sc conversion course in Computer Science for many years. I retired in September 2000 and the School gave me a farewell dinner at the end of November 2000. At that time I also set up the Laflin Prize for the student on the M.Sc conversion course who had made best progress during the year.
In the past, I have supervised a few M.Sc projects. The project topics are still available and are suitable for students on the MSc conversion course. For details of these projects please click here.
Parts of the courses I taught are still relevant and so I have left copies of the materials for these courses on my web site. In particular, students on the M.Sc conversion course in Computer Science should check and see which sections still apply to their courses. For details please click here.
For details of my research interests during my time in the School please click here. For details of my activities since my retirement, please look at the web site www.susan-laflin.me.uk.
