Xin Yao's Research Interests: Solving Differential Equations Using Evolutionary and Hybrid Algorithms


Many real world engineering problems require solving differential equations. Some of these equations are analytically intractable and difficult to solve using the classical numerical methods. Evolutionary algorithms can be used to solve them. We have tested our ideas on linear equations and nonlinear partial and ordinary differential equations.
